OnTurtle and Ryd facilitate digital payment at La Jonquera and Mercabarna stations

It is now possible to pay for refuelling online at the OnTurtle-La Jonquera, OnTurtle-La Jonquera-Autos and OnTurtle-Mercabarna service stations for those hauliers who wish to do so. OnTurtle has partnered with Ryd, a European firm specialising in digital payment solutions, to enable drivers to pay for their fuel from their car or van, making the transaction quicker and more convenient.

Ryd’s ‘in-car-payments’ technology comes to our own stations

“Our DieselCards are designed to meet the different needs of transport companies, but in the age of digitalisation it is also necessary to offer the possibility of online payment at the service station itself”, said Marta Fàbregas, our CEO at OnTurtle.
The agreement with Ryd offers a convenient and safe solution for our clients, thanks to its relationship with partners, including navigation systems, mobile applications for smart phones and even manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz. The integration of digital payment through these platforms makes it easy to pay for refuelling via screens, sometimes even without getting out of the vehicle. An ‘in-car payments’ technology that OnTurtle wanted to join up with in order to promote the digitisation of mobility for its customers. “Our goal has always been and always will be to support On The Way transporters with everything they need to reach their destination, Fàbregas concludes.
“We are delighted to collaborate with OnTurtle and to bring our digital payments solution to their service stations in Spain”, said Marcos Withington, Partner Manager Iberia at Ryd.

Locate the nearest pay online service stations

In addition to offering digital payment with all the conveniences involved in the telematic transaction of these operations, Ryd’s application also enables registered users with this service to easily locate available service stations on their route. This is a further advantage in terms of efficiency for the haulier, who can plan his or her route and refuelling to take advantage of this technology.

In fact, Withington is enthusiastic about the agreement with OnTurtle, the opportunity to contribute to the Spanish market and to provide petrol station users with a more convenient and secure payment experience via their mobile devices or from the dashboard of their vehicles.

“The partnership with OnTurtle represents a significant step in our mission to transform the way people transact in the fuel sector”, he added, we are “looking forward to continuing to innovate and grow together in the country”.
