The OnTurtle refueling stations network in Spain has incorporated eight new areas of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply as part of our strategy to promote the sustainable mobility of professional transport.
In operation since March, they are the result of collaboration with the MOLGAS Group, a leader in energy services, with more than 20 years’ experience. OnTurtle has also added several gas stations from the HAM Group to its own international network, so that we already have 52 natural gas self-service stations in Europe.
The new stations are located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, (Barcelona), Igualada (Barcelona), Benavente (Zamora), Aranda de Duero (Burgos), San Fernando de Henares (Madrid), Valencia Alaquàs (Valencia), La Garena (Madrid) and Huelva, strategic points for professional transport.
Our international gas refuelling service for goods transport now has 24 stations in Spain, 22 in France and 6 in Belgium.
Vehicle natural gas is a sustainable alternative for mobility. LNG is used by heavy vehicles like trucks and buses that make long-distance trips. Natural gas is liquefied at -162ºC, which frees up space in the vehicle’s fuel tank and gives it a range of up to 1,600 km.
The gas industry is booming in the transport sector, as its use as a fuel for heavy vehicles and cars has a positive impact on the environment: it cuts the emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 80-85%, almost 100% of sulphur oxides (SOx) and 95% of polluting suspended particles. In addition, it emits 20% less carbon dioxide (CO2) and reduces noise pollution by 50%.
At OnTurtle we are committed to expanding our international network of natural gas stations because of the low pollution from this odourless and quietly burning fuel and the economic savings over diesel or gas oil.
