Our OnTurtle service area – La Jonquera has established itself as an international benchmark in freight mobility and truck services. Recently, we welcomed a visit from around forty Brazilian companies, who toured our facilities to see firsthand how we operate and to share experiences with our team. This international interest reflects how our model of safety, efficiency, and specialized services sets standards in Spain and other countries around the world.
Our La Jonquera service area was established in 1995 and was the first in Spain dedicated to professional transport. In 2025, we celebrate 30 years of history.
Recognizing excellence and sharing transatlantic experiences
The recent visit of 38 Brazilian companies to our La Jonquera service area was no coincidence. These companies—including service station owners and professionals from Vibra, Brazil’s leading fuel and lubricant distribution company—came to learn firsthand about our truck service area model, the safety of our facilities, and the efficiency in managing freight mobility from a strategic location like ours, on the border between France and Spain.
The visit positions OnTurtle – La Jonquera as a global benchmark in freight mobility. “It was a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences,” highlights our Commercial Director, Dorota Nowak. “We discovered that on both sides of the Atlantic we share many challenges and learnings. From driver shortages to similarities in logistics operations, it was fascinating to see how two very different worlds can have so much in common,” she adds.

30 years of history and pioneering leadership
Founded in 1995, our service area was a pioneer in Spain as it was dedicated exclusively to professional transport. Over these three decades, La Jonquera has evolved into a strategic hub on the border with France, offering modern, safe, and efficient facilities that facilitate freight mobility across Europe.
Today, our OnTurtle – La Jonquera service area covers 25,000 m² dedicated to professional transport. It includes a service station, restrooms, showers, laundry, hotel, supermarket, shop, and restaurant. The restaurant was renovated in 2023 to offer a Mediterranean menu prepared daily at an affordable price. In addition, the site has a fenced, 24-hour video-monitored parking lot with 50 spaces, where security is a priority. Professional drivers can reserve a space in advance through platforms such as SNAP, Travis, and Otra Solutions.
Celebrating our 30th anniversary not only allows us to look back with pride but also to project ourselves into the future, consolidating our position as an international benchmark and continuing the innovation and excellence that define us.
Safety and certifications for secure transport
One of the main reasons why OnTurtle – La Jonquera is a benchmark in freight mobility is the safety of its facilities. Our 50-truck parking lot is fully fenced, features personalized access via PIN code, and is monitored 24 hours a day, providing peace of mind for both drivers and transport companies.
Our secure truck parking at OnTurtle – La Jonquera has also been recognized for two consecutive years as the best in Europe by the ESPORG European Excellence in Truck Parking Award and holds dual security certifications: Gold category from ESPORG and Level 2 from TAPA.
Additionally, our service station features a pioneering system in Europe for controlling refueling. This system verifies each vehicle’s license plate before authorizing fuel, ensuring it matches the information registered on the fuel card.
Innovation and quality in every refueling
The pursuit of product excellence is a constant goal at OnTurtle. For this reason, our La Jonquera station features an exclusive microfiltration plant, unique in Europe, through which all fuel supplied to our customers passes.
Thanks to this innovation, OnTurtle has been the first Spanish company to receive the SGS quality seal year after year since 2017, a certification that guarantees the highest fuel quality.
When the diesel arrives in the tank, it is processed through the microfiltration plant, which removes suspended solids, moisture, and naturally occurring bacteria, ensuring not only superior fuel quality but also greater durability for diesel filters and truck injection systems.
This combination of innovation and quality control reinforces our commitment to transport operators and the efficiency of their routes.
