A commitment to a safer and more sustainable On The Way route for professional transport in Europe. This is the objective we set out on our return to TransLogistica Poland 2024, which was held from November 5 to 7 in Warsaw. To this end, we organized several interviews to analyze the sector on the continent, focusing on issues such as safety and efficiency on the road, and the energy transition.
Ensuring safe rest for the haulier
Safe rest for hauliers in Europe. This is a global goal that we wanted to bring back to the table at TransLogistica Poland. To this end, we had the insight of Dominik Kajzerski, Account Executive at Travis Road Services. Mr. Kajzerski explained the importance of improving the supply of secure truck parking facilities in Europe and making it easier, for example, to book them in advance. Among other things, he stressed that it is not only a question of having enough parking spaces, but that they must be of high quality, safe and bookable in advance.
Travis Road Services has a network of more than 400 secure parking facilities, including the OnTurtle truck parking facility in La Jonquera, recognized as the Best Truck Parking Facility in Europe for the second consecutive year in the European Excellence in Truck Parking Award 2024.
Efficient payment of tolls on the road
Our stand at TransLogistica Poland also hosted an interview by Marek Loos, President of Transport Manager, with Antonio Costa, Chief Commercial & Group Strategy of Lumesia, a service platform for transport and logistics companies. In this case, the objective was to analyze other solutions designed for safer and more efficient freight mobility in Europe.
This event highlighted the importance, for example, of single toll devices and their advantages for optimizing fleet management and streamlining logistics processes, as well as other tools designed to improve the time and costs of transport companies.
At OnTurtle we have just extended the OnTolls Europe professional toll payment service to Croatia, Slovenia and Slovakia. In total, our service is now available in 18 countries, including key locations such as Spain and Poland. The aim is to facilitate the movement of transport fleets on international routes in order to make the mobility of goods in Europe faster and more efficient.
Energy transition, a global challenge
OnTurtle is also aware of the need to promote the decarbonization of freight transport, making it easier for transport companies to refuel their fleets with alternative energies. In fact, we have recently reinforced our network of biofuel stations for refueling HVO in Italy and Belgium. In total, we offer seventy stations distributed in the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Italy.
HVO is a fuel that is compatible with diesel technology, reducing net CO2 greenhouse gases by 90%. In addition to biofuels, the firm also offers an LNG network with more than 150 gas stations.
More than two decades in Poland
This year was the eleventh edition of TransLogistica Poland and we at OnTurtle have always been faithful to the event. On this occasion, the fair welcomed more than 400 exhibitors, 45% of foreign companies and nearly 11,000 visitors between November 5 and 7 in Warsaw.
In fact, OnTurtle has been present in Poland for more than 20 years, a country where the logistics industry is growing steadily. According to 2023 data, the sector accounts for 6% of Polish GDP and ranks first among EU countries. Polish drivers transported 19% of the products on the domestic market, ahead of other countries such as Germany and Spain.
